Every production is a classroom. Our programming is designed so that no moment on the rehearsal room floor is wasted — every exercise, every note, every rehearsal is an opportunity for young performers to grow. We believe the arts are one of the most powerful educational environments available to a young person, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We hold ourselves to an extremely high bar. We are committed to high-quality performances and creating the sets, props and costumes that match the skill and commitment of the students on our stage.

Rise Youth Theater Collective is a space where everyone can find their place. As we build RISE, we will bring families and the community along with us, welcoming anyone who has a passion and commitment to bringing these shows to life.

We are two friends who love bringing youth theater to life, and this work brings us incredible joy. RISE will be a place where you can find joy — and hope and inspiration along the way.

RISE was founded on the belief that excellence has no single address. Quality performing arts education should exist in all communities, and in spaces that legacy institutions have overlooked. We don't aspire to be accepted by what already exists. We are building what should exist — and we are holding ourselves to the highest possible standard while we do it.

We believe that every casting decision, every rehearsal structure, and every role we assign backstage is an opportunity to serve the development of the whole person — not just the performer. We are thoughtful about how we build our ensembles, how we create belonging within a group, and how we hold the social and emotional health of our collective. The show matters deeply. The humans making the show matter more.
